Learning Experience Design & Advisory

Build learning people can use.

Turn subject-matter expertise into clear, useful learning. Bring us in for a focused review, an extra pair of experienced hands or a partnership from the first question through delivery.

Start with the learner and the work

What should someone be able to do? What makes it difficult today? We help you answer those questions, then choose the right structure, content, practice and delivery format.

Conventional instructional design is part of the offer. We can work with your existing team, authoring tools and learning platform. AI is an option where it helps; it is never a condition of working together.

Three ways to partner

  • Advise and review

Learning strategy, needs analysis, curriculum architecture and a second set of eyes on an existing course. Get clear recommendations and support for the team doing the work.

  • Prototype and test

Make a representative lesson, interaction or learning journey. Try it with the people it is for, then use what you learn to choose what deserves a full build.

  • Design and build

Partner across instructional design, storyboards, interactive eLearning, scenario-based practice, assessments and facilitator resources. Plan for review, testing, delivery and handover from the start.

The Special Olympics UCS Inclusion Academy

In September 2026 the Special Olympics Global Center for Inclusion in Education launched the Unified Champion Schools Inclusion Academy: free, self-paced professional learning that helps educators, coaches and school leaders put inclusion into practice. Josh Penzell is one of the Academy's named expert contributors.

We designed the Academy's Interactive Experience and built it entirely with AI. The interactions, the code, first-draft translations and the testing were produced with AI and directed by us; Special Olympics' experts and reviewers owned the content and approved the language. Plenty of people talk about AI-built learning. This one is live.

Learners choose between the Interactive Experience and the original course. The Interactive version turns pages into decisions, reflections and practice in six languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish), and it records what people actually do and write, not just whether they finished.

Inclusion decided what was worth building. Accessibility and language were designed in from the first lesson. AI-simulated learners gave us a fast first pass across languages, devices and access needs; real reviewers, subject-matter experts and pilot learners then told us what the simulation could not.

Make room for different learners

Discuss accessibility and language needs early. Consider how learners navigate, read, listen, practice and recover when something goes wrong. Include captions, transcripts and alternative ways to engage where the material calls for them.

Testing belongs inside the design process. Agree on what we will check, who will review it and what evidence will tell us the experience is ready.

Work alongside your team

You may already have instructional designers, subject-matter experts or a production partner. We can advise, take responsibility for a defined part of the work or help connect the pieces. Scope, responsibilities and ownership are agreed before the project begins.

If your challenge is specifically how people and AI work together, explore The Rehearsal Room. If you need a useful learning experience built or improved, start here.

Bring us the learning challenge

Tell us who the learners are, what they need to do, what already exists and where your team needs help. We will work out a useful starting point together.
